Avicii’s ex-girlfriend, Emily Goldberg, broke her silence after DJ’s death.

The death of world-renowned DJ, Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, came as quite a shock to everyone and definitely hit the music world hard. The Swedish born DJ was found dead in Muscat, Oman on April 20, 2018, in his hotel room.

Reports broke of the musician’s death after his manager released a statement confirming the devastating news. Friends and musicians alike including Calvin Harris, Paris Hilton, Charlie Puth, Madonna, and many more all shared their love for Avicii on the day of his death by posting messages to their social media mourning the loss of such an incredible talent.

The 28-year-old was loved by millions for his hit songs "Wake Me Up" and "Levels" and will truly be missed. Goldberg posted onto her Instagram the most treasured photos of their time together, and a sweet message to the late DJ’s many fans across the world. “Come on babe, don’t give up on us. Choose me, and I’ll show you love’. Those are the lyrics from a song Tim wrote for me. I wish I could have lived up to them,” she began writing.

Goldberg continued by saying: “For the two years we were together, he was my closest confidante, and my best friend. Now I can’t look at Bear without knowing I’ll never see his face again. I’m still collecting my thoughts and thank you for all the kind words and texts. Wake me up when it’s all over, because I don’t want it to be real”.

She later posted a screenshot of a text conversation between her and Avicii, which depicted the love the two had for one another. It is without a doubt a sad day for the world of music and all those who Avicii’s music touched.
